Q4. Who would be the audience for your media project ?
Our film opening is a psychological thriller and our main target audience is 16to 40 year old adults because of the level of understanding needed to enjoy the opening, it also has a female skew because of the psychological genre. We are also targeting a younger audience to buy the buy or watch the dvd because of the hype and aspiration to watch an 16+ movie

Our sub genre the psychological aspect of the film has the same target audience but with a female skew as they like movies which needs a level of understanding to watch. There isn't many fights or action which tend to have a male skew but a deep plot which is full of pain and loneliness. The target audience for the subgenre is slightly higher which starts from 25 and ends at 40

The Unique selling point for our film opening is the psychological genre and the mix of a student main character with an adult main character. We have tried to create a film catering which would be interesting to watch because of the tension and suspense added into the opening. It have a small target audience of 25 to 35 and have a female skew.

Q5. How did you attract/ address your audience ?
Q6. what have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product ?

We also used Sideshows to help present our pitch and planing to the teacher. The slideshow helped
to present all the information like the props and location in an easy to view format with images. Prezis are another technology like a sideshow but it is easier to customise with unique backgrounds and animation making it more interesting.
The good things about these technologies is their versatility as we could add a sideshow into final cut pro and make it into a video or add a sideshow to a prezi. These technologies have been extremely useful to our group for this project.
Q7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product ?
Overall the preliminary task helped us to improve our skills to a higher level which made our final film opening better quality

Editing Sound
This was our last minute editing of the sound that was then added to our final thriller opening on Final cut pro. We were making the sound longer for the extra titles that we added and also for the new production ident that we made.

Rough Cut of Film Opening- Feedback
Rebecca gave us feedback on our opening and told us what we needed to work on
- Intercutting titles to the rest of the film
- Change the names because you can't repeat names
- Shorten one of the clips
- Change the production company name
We also added some video filters to our titles

'Se7en' Opening inspiration
We looked at the opening of 'Se7en' for inspiration on the title sequences and the video filters they have used. They went with the sepia effect which made the opening look older. The titles were written in lowercase and the font looked liked it was handwritten which we are going to do in our opening.

The first scene of the film has a slight sepia effect which we have tried to add in our first scene.

The main actors' names have been written in lowercase and on a black screen

This scene had a slight grainy effect which made the clip look less 'clean'

The Director's name was placed at the end of the opening

Video of location
The Main location for our film opening is Grimaldi park which is around kings cross. Grimaldi park is the best location to film our main scenes because of the open space in the park and the eeriness of the cemetery.

Second day of Filming
Today we went to our chosen location to film the scenes with the stalker and the victim. We were able to film today as there wasn't anything that would have interrupted our filming.
