Research: Intertextuality

Intertextuality is a term to describe the visual referencing between films. I looked at the famous shower scene from 'Psycho' as an example of intertextuality as many films like 'What lies beneath' and 'The Stepfather' have borrowed many aspects from this scene such as mise en scene, camera shots and angles etc.
